Geographic Distribution of 6th Call Outline Submissions

On 15 March 2019, the 6th Call for the submission of NAMA Support Project Outlines closed. A total of 51 Outlines were received from a wide range of national governments and other international actors. Submissions from across Africa, Asia and Latin America were rather equally represented, along with a wide range of sectors. More information about 6th Call Outline submissions is now available on the NAMA Facility’s statistics page.

The NAMA Facility will now undergo an extensive assessment process of the submitted Outlines. Based on this assessment, selected Outlines will be chosen for in-depth assessments and the NAMA Facility Board will then pre-select those Outlines deemed sufficiently ready to enter the Detailed Preparation Phase.

The 6th Call was launched by the NAMA Facility at the COP24 in Katowice, Poland, where Donors, including the United Kingdom and Germany, announced their intention to commit up to EUR 80 million for the 6th Call. Project Outlines submitted as part of this Call aim to support the development of countries’ NAMAs, which are the building blocks for NDC implementation. This latest Call represents the NAMA Facility and its Donors’ commitment to supporting developing countries and emerging economies in their efforts to meet Paris Agreement targets and keep global temperature rises to well below two degrees Celsius.
