The Third Call for NAMA Support Project Outlines of the NAMA Facility closed on 15 July 2015. NAMA Support Project Outlines received are currently evaluated with regard to their eligibility, ambition and feasibility.

The Third call for NAMA Support Project Outlines is made possible due to a joint contribution of additional funding of up to EUR 85 million by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the UK Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate (EFKM) and the European Commission.

The NAMA Facility provides support to the concrete implementation of highly ambitious, innovative and feasible NAMA Support Projects that fit into the context of a broader NAMA and have the potential to catalyse transformational change towards low-carbon development. The NAMA Facility has no regional or sectoral focus and is open to fund NAMAs across a range of countries and sectors. During the competitive selection process, NAMA Support Project Outlines are assessed against general eligibility, ambition and feasibility criteria. The NAMA Facility has a two-stage selection process: NAMA Support Projects pre-selected at this stage will enter the second stage of the selection process, where a full project appraisal shall be carried out. Detailed NAMA Support Project Proposals will then be considered by the NAMA Facility Board for the final funding decision.
