Germany and the UK are jointly providing an additional EUR 50 million to support the implementation of NAMAs

As announced during COP 19 in Warsaw, the NAMA Facility will hold a second call for NAMA Support Project Outlines in 2014.

During the competitive selection process, NAMA Support Project Outlines will be considered against general eligibility, ambition and feasibility criteria. NAMA Support Projects pre-selected at this stage will enter a second evaluation stage, where a full project appraisal will be carried out and then considered by the NAMA Facility Board before a final funding decision is made. This two-stage process is designed to ensure smooth implementation upon the final funding decision.

The second call for NAMA Support Project Outlines is possible due to a joint contribution of an additional EUR 50 million by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the UK Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

The call will be from April 2014 to 15 July 2014, 12 pm (CEST/GMT+2). The exact starting date for the call will be announced shortly.

All relevant documents, including an updated template for NAMA Support Project Outlines as well as additional guidance for the submission of outlines during the second call, will be made available on this website once the call is open.
