Germany, the UK, Denmark and the European Commission intend to jointly provide additional funding of up to EUR 85 million to support the implementation of NAMAs.

As announced during COP 20 in Lima, the NAMA Facility will hold a third call for NAMA Support Project Outlines in 2015.

During the competitive bidding process, NAMA Support Project Outlines will be assessed against general eligibility, ambition and feasibility criteria. The NAMA Facility has a two-stage selection process: NAMA Support Projects pre-selected at this stage will enter a second stage, where a full project appraisal shall be carried out. Detailed NAMA Support Project Proposals will then be considered by the NAMA Facility Board for the final funding decision.

The third call for NAMA Support Project Outlines is made possible due to a joint contribution of additional funding of up to EUR 85 million by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the UK Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate (EFKM) and the European Commission.

The call is expected to run from 20 April 2015 to 15 July 2015, 12 pm (CEST/GMT+2).

All relevant documents, including a revised template for NAMA Support Project Outlines as well as additional guidance for the submission of Outlines during the third call, will be made available on this website once the call is open.
Please note that the Outline Template and eligibility criteria have been amended for the third call to reflect lessons learned from the first two calls.
