Newly published Annual Report 2021 reflects on past year activities, accomplishments and ambitions

July 11, 2022

2021 represents a significant year for the NAMA Facility, a mitigation-focused climate fund, due to new funding opportunities, updates to monitoring and evaluation practices and additional lessons learnt from a growing and maturing portfolio of projects. The NAMA Facility is pleased to announce the release of its 2021 Annual Report, which serves to inform the public and the NAMA Facility’s immediate network about highlights, achievements and lessons learnt from projects and operational activities in the past year.

The NAMA Facility currently manages a portfolio of 43 mitigation-focused NAMA Support Projects (NSPs) that enable developing countries and emerging economies to upscale and replicate innovative green solutions across five sectors, namely renewable energy, energy efficiency, transport, waste and Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU).

The report provides an overview of activities, new developments and learnings from 2021, based on the data-driven approach of the recently updated Monitoring & Evaluation Framework and NAMA Facility Logframe.

While we hope this publication contributes to great learning and increased transparency, confidential information has been not included in the public version. We would like to express our gratitude to our national partners and NAMA Support Organisations (NSOs), who with their experience and reliability, are working to achieve the goal of a more sustainable world.
