NAMA Facility participated in the Latin Carbon Forum 2017 in Mexico City

Thumbnail Climate Action Under Paris Agreement

The Technical Support Unit (TSU) of the NAMA Facility participated at the Latin American and Caribbean Carbon Forum (LACCF) on Advancing the Paris Agreement: From targets to action, which will took place on 18-20 October 2017 in Mexico City, Mexico.

The TSU was invited to contribute to the plenary session entitled as Getting down to business: Climate Action under the Paris Agreement, which took place on 19 October 2017. The plenary addressed the subject of Climate Action in the wake of the Paris Agreement, focusing on the business opportunities offered by deep de-carbonization in the Latin American and Caribbean region. Mr. Ash Sharma, Senior Adviser to the NAMA Facility, offered some reflections on how public resources can unlock and de-risk private sector investment in low carbon initiatives.
