Strengthening knowledge sharing and communication through the Knowledge & Learning Hub
June 18, 2025
The Mitigation Action Facility is more than just a financing mechanism – it also serves as a platform for peer exchange, learning, and communication. As part of its growing role as Knowledge & Learning Hub, the Facility recently convened two pivotal activities to deepen collaboration among its funded projects:
Virtual Project Meeting – First of Two in 2025 (12 June 2025)
Bringing together over 30 representatives from all projects in implementation across the globe, the virtual meeting provided a space for cross-project exchange and learning. Participants received general updates from the Technical Support Unit (TSU), with special focus on risk management practices. Importantly, projects shared their own challenges and insights, helping to build a stronger foundation of peer learning across the portfolio. Feedback gathered during the sessions will inform and shape future Knowledge & Learning Hub activities.

Communication Focal Points Network – Kick-Off Meeting (12 June 2025)
For the first time, the Facility hosted a dedicated session with communication focal points from its portfolio. The aim: to build a stronger network of communicators, align messaging across diverse contexts, and amplify the impact of climate action supported by the Facility. This new initiative will help ensure strategic, coordinated communication – and increase the visibility of its transformative mitigation efforts around the world.

Together, these activities underscore the Mitigation Action Facility’s commitment to providing not only funding, but also space for dialogue, shared learning, and mutual growth. As we continue to strengthen our community of practice, the Knowledge and Learning Hub will remain at the heart of our efforts to drive impactful, just climate action.
