Following COP30, the global climate agenda has entered a decisive implementation phase, with a strong focus on translating climate ambition into implementable and financeable solutions. The sixty-fourth sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SB 64) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will take place at the World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB) in Bonn, Germany, from 08 to 18 June 2026.
In this context, the Mitigation Action Facility and the NDC Partnership are convening an interactive networking event to explore how to bridge the gap between Project Concepts and the successful implementation of scalable, bankable mitigation action.
The event will bring together policymakers, implementers, financiers, and technical partners to:
- Exchange practical insights on enabling conditions for investment-ready mitigation projects
- Hear from implementers (incl. Mitigation Action Facility funded projects) on what works in practice to move from idea to implementation
- Discuss approaches to strengthening private sector engagement
- Explore tools such as the NDC Partnership’s Climate Investment Planning and Mobilization Framework and the Project Preparation Support Database
- Validate emerging insights, including from transport decarbonisation, and their relevance across sectors
Through interactive formats, participants will engage in collaborative discussions, share experiences, and identify practical solutions to connect policy frameworks, project pipelines, and finance.
