At COP29, the Mitigation Action Facility (MAF) will hold a networking event at the NDCP Pavilion, drawing climate leaders, policymakers, and industry representatives to explore pathways for impactful sectoral decarbonisation. Building on years of innovative project work, MAF will use the gathering to showcase its progress in promoting sustainable industrial practices and mobilising climate finance in emerging markets.The Mitigation Action Facility will also use this opportunity to launch the Annual Call for Projects. The Call for Projects 2025 seeks the most ambitious and feasible climate change mitigation projects, selecting them for funding support through a phased process.
To take place on November 19, the event will serve as a platform for MAF to celebrate its achievements with stakeholders. The event will include interactive displays and insights into MAF’s transformative projects, illustrating tangible progress across key sectors, from renewable energy transitions to energy efficiency initiatives.
MAF’s projects, such as PotencializEE in Brazil, will be highlighted to illustrate the critical role of targeted financing and local partnerships in reducing emissions in industrial sectors. Through strategic investments and capacity-building initiatives, MAF has been able to scale sustainable solutions, helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) reduce greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing operational efficiency.
Networking for Climate Action
A core aspect of the event will be the networking component, providing an invaluable opportunity for stakeholders to connect and strategise on advancing sectoral decarbonisation.
Furthermore, we invite you and your team to participate in bilateral in-person exchanges on how we can collectively drive climate action forward through this platform. The MAF team will be available for bilateral meetings between November 15 and 20 at the fringes of COP29 in Baku.
