This high-level event will bring together government authorities, development partners, and the private sector to advance The Gambia’s climate finance agenda. This roundtable follows similar high-level climate finance roundtables organised among others in Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, and Madagascar, in the context of the IMF’s The Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST). The Gambia has successfully completed its first review under the RSF program.
The roundtable aims to identify key barriers and opportunities for scaling up climate finance in The Gambia, discuss additional policy actions and complementary reforms to support climate and development goals, explore programmatic approaches for mobilizing public and private climate financing at scale, and foster collaboration among development partners and the private sector to accelerate climate-resilient growth.
