Africa E-Mobility Week & Forum (AEW2026) is a continental platform dedicated to accelerating Africa’s shift to clean and electric transport. Co-convened by UNEP, the African Union, the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the Africa E-Mobility Alliance (AfEMA), the 2026 edition will bring together policymakers, investors, development partners, manufacturers, innovators, cities and mobility stakeholders for policy dialogue, investment engagement, technical exchange and implementation-focused partnerships.
With governments advancing regulatory frameworks, development finance institutions structuring blended finance instruments, and private sector actors moving from pilots to deployment, Africa’s e-mobility transition is entering an execution phase. AEW2026 sits at the intersection of policy, capital and implementation, offering a high-level space for continental alignment.
The Forum will take place on 28–29 September 2026 at Nooitgedacht Estate in Stellenbosch, followed by Industry Tours across Cape Town and the Western Cape on 30 September, giving participants practical exposure to electric mobility projects on the ground. Tickets for the Forum and the Industry Tours are sold separately via the AEW2026 ticketing page. Invited delegates will receive separate participation guidance.
