Transport and Climate Change Week is the annual flagship event on transport and climate, organised by GIZ through the Changing Transport programme on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN). From 5 to 9 October 2026, its 9th edition will convene experts, practitioners and decision-makers from around the world for shared learning, exchange and networking on the path to net-zero transport, under the theme: Partnering for Action – Global Alliances and Opportunities for Decarbonising Transport.
Across its past editions, Transport Week has brought together more than 2,000 participants from every region, combining capacity building with the relationship building that makes cooperation on transport decarbonisation possible. This year’s edition will be held entirely online, making participation open to a global audience at no travel cost. Registration is open via the Transport Week registration page, and the full programme is available on the event website.
